F&Q’s

You may have some questions about how the grooming process works. We invite you to take a few moments to browse through our frequently asked questions. Should you not find the answer to your specific question, please feel free to contact us.

1.       How much does it cost for my dog to be groomed?

Our prices are mainly based on breed but can then slightly vary depending on hair length, condition and temperament. If you would like a price from us, please get in touch and we would be happy to help you.

2.       How do I book?

You can enquire/book via the website here, social media: Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp, email: freyas-grooming@gmail.com or by calling 07712112201

3.       How long will the treatment take?

A groom can vary depending on several factors including, length and condition of coat, size and breed. On average our full grooms are completed within one and a half to two hours with breeds that do not require a full cut and puppies being around an hour.

You will be advised of this when you contact us to enquire about a booking

4.       Will you pick up and drop my dog off?

Sorry we currently do not offer the collection and drop off of your dog before or after treatments.

5.       Can I stay with my dog when they are being groomed?

Your dog will likely want to be close to you and wiggle around which is not safe for grooming. We also are not insured to have clients in the grooming area. It is best to drop him/her off at their scheduled appointment time and return to collect them when their treatment is finished. We are happy for you to contact us whilst your dog is being groomed to see how they are doing.

6. When and how do I pay?

Payment for treatment is taken on collection of your dog. We accept cash and card payments.

7. How often should my dog be groomed?

The length and type of coat your dog has will determine how often they need to be groomed. Once your dog has been in for one appointment with us your groomer will be able to advise and discuss with you the best schedule for your dog.

8. When should your puppy have his/her first groom?

We recommend booking your puppy’s first groom as soon as possible, ideally two weeks after their first vaccinations, so they can become familiar with the grooming process and see it as a normal part of life. Our puppy package is available up to 6 months of age and helps your puppy get used to the sights and sounds of the salon for calmer future visits. To protect the adult coat as it develops, we usually avoid clipping before this age, but we can trim the face, feet, and hygiene areas.

9. Do I need to bring anything with me for the appointment?

Please feel free to bring any toys or treats you know your pooch loves. If you have any preferences or requirements of haircuts and have a photo of what you would like please bring that with you to show your groomer.

Before your dog comes to his/her appointment we strongly recommend they have the chance to relieve themselves. If possible, try to avoid them eating a meal immediately prior to your appointment.

10. What if I am not happy with the service I receive?

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please let us know as soon as possible. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, and we want every customer to feel confident their dog has been well cared for. We welcome all feedback, positive or otherwise, as it helps us improve and gives us the opportunity to put things right where we can.
